Acknowledgements

   Student success at the Division of Science and Environmental Policy is enhanced by grants from theUnited States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and theNational Science Foundation(NSF) Louis Stokes Aliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program. These grants provide additional resources toward staff and academic program support to fund research experiences, link internships to academic coursework, and allow for graduate preparedness activities.

The USDA Award support paid internships to undergraduate students with agricultural, watershed and natural resources conservation, research, policy-making and educational organizations and agencies in the California Central Coast area. Partnerships with science industry create and sustain opportunities~ with agricultural, conservation and watershed science and science education.

NSF / LSAMP Grant No.: 941337638, Phase III Principal Investigator: Dr William Head

The NSF/LSAMP grant funds research experiences for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics students, to enhance graduate school preparedness of participants with the goal of improving aggregate student progression to graduate programs in STEM disciplines.
